What sets us apart?

Novato Kitchens and Baths is a showroom only. We do not have employees and we offer this showroom to a talented group of curated designers that handles project management and sells our products for us. Over the years, we have formed long lasting relationships with some of the best designers in the Bay Area. Most of these designers have backgrounds in Interior Design and Architecture. These designers have cart-blanche control to create spaces that work for our clients and are not driven by sales figures.

Because we don’t have employees, we have very low over-head and are able to pass the savings on to our clients. Not only are our prices lower, but every project is dedicated to a designer. So instead of a sales person, you’ll have the talent of an experienced Interior Designer or Architect designing and planning your space just for purchasing cabinets with us!

Rosalind DeMello

My career began in the construction industry working for 18 years in design build. During this time, I honed my skills visiting both commercial and custom home jobsites, managing timelines, and drawing plans. In 2013 I realized that my heart was really in space planning and design so my husband Wes and I started DeMello Design and Construction and joined forces with my father Paul at Novato Kitchens and Baths.

The best part of my job is working with clients to create a functional design space while partnering that with an elegant aesthetic. I enjoy finding creative ways to develop a contemporary, yet timeless design that marries well with my clients taste and the style of their home.

Robin Barnato

I have been designing professionally for over 16 years, during which time I have helped transform over 80 kitchen and baths, renovated numerous homes, and provided guidance on all aspects of home decoration. My approach to each project always begins with the same theme: listening to the client’s functional and aesthetic goals, understanding the budgetary considerations, and exploring together the possibilities. Moving from concept to reality is where the rubber meets the road, and I love to collaborate, plan and troubleshoot with clients, tradespeople and vendors to make each project a success.

I am a Marin County native, lucky to create for a living in this beautiful area. I owned my own Design Showroom in San Anselmo for 12 years; and had a 15 year career in banking and finance before pivoting into the home design field in 2002.

David Kiljanowicz

I believe that each client’s style is unique. Timeless, Contemporary, Traditional, or Transitional… a successful design starts with discovering & listening to specific needs and creating a collaborative relationship. A member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), I’ve taught Adult Education covering Home Design & Remodeling, and have projects published in Connecticut Magazine, The New York Times, & the Greenwich Review. My career has included Residential Design-Build, General Contracting, Project Management, Decorative Interiors, Lighting Design, and my true passion since 2001, ‘Kitchen & Bath Design’, this combination brings a unique perspective to each project. Rich DiCola

A New Jersey Yankee in California’s North Bay.

My career in Design and Remodeling started around 6 yrs old fashioning whole neighborhoods out of cardboard boxes, Tonka Trucks, and G.I. Joes. A lot has changed since then but I still enjoy creating aesthetically functional spaces for my clients. Growing up in a large Italian family, food and time in the kitchen took center stage (ask me about our 5 hour, multi-course, holiday feasts). I still love to cook a family meal most evenings and find the time relaxing and satisfying. Now I share my skills with others… design, food, recipes… it’s all there. Mary Baron Smith

Kamber Mason

I believe in a holistic and educated approach to interior architecture and design from concept through completion. My goal is to bring both beauty and function to your design to enable you to live more fully and with greater appreciation for your surroundings. I am a designer, artist, and experienced business owner. I graduated with a BA in Art History from UC Santa Cruz in 1993. In 2019 I earned an MFA from the San Francisco Academy of Art in Interior Architecture and Design. As a designer, I have worked in art and design since 1993, beginning in the art gallery business, moving into graphic design, then managing all marketing and design for my jointly owned plumbing business, and finally evolving into a certified interior designer with an MFA education in Interior Architecture and Design.

Jenny Meyers

Jenny Meyers brings a wealth of talent and knowledge of design and remodeling to Novato Kitchens & Baths. To assist a clients’ vision of a space into a viable and beautiful reality is her joy. She curates spaces reflective of a family’s lifestyle, believing a holistic approach is best for all. A strong art background, and a reservoir of history in design projects has enabled this approach.
